Requirements

Your degree should be in industrial, mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, renewable, civil, biomedical engineering, applied physics, applied mathematics, applied computing, or an equivalent applied or engineering discipline.

Relevant work experience may also be considered.

Degree Overview

Industrial engineers who can innovate, design, and transform engineering projects and have a deep understanding of how business works are in high demand.

This degree combines specialised industry-focused engineering with fundamental business skills.

You’ll study advanced robotics, looking at multi-modal sensor integration and human-robot interactions, and advanced manufacturing, investigating modern and smart manufacturing technologies.

You’ll combine these studies with project management, leadership and decision making, providing you with strong knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of management.

You’ll undertake an industrial-related project for at least 12 weeks. This offers exposure to industry, building up your practical experience and network within the UK and internationally. Recent project examples have investigated the optimisation of material flow and enhancement of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in a manufacturing company, and proton therapy.
