Throughout the degree, you will continue to hone software development and data analysis skills. You will also understand what makes a positive, engaging and impactful website or mobile app for users. After the first year, you can take optional modules based on your career ambitions, such as strategic digital communication, digital gaming, animation and creativity, project management and digital storytelling. You will also learn core cyber security skills related to organisational resilience. Between Year 2 and Year 3, you can undertake an industrial placement year, allowing you to gain valuable work experience relevant to your career aspirations. We deliver all computing programmes in an active blended learning style, with most lectures replaced by workshops and seminars. Our approach provides a learning environment focused on collaborative working in practical lab spaces, immersed in an environment based on working in the IT industry.
