Degree Overview

If you have been teaching for some time in the religious studies field and have the practical experience and a desire to share your love of spirituality with children, this Master’s degree is the perfect course for you. The Master of Education (Religious Studies) is designed to meet the needs of professional teachers like you who wish to undertake further career development.

Our flexible study options will accommodate your existing teaching load. Tuition will be available face-to-face and externally, either full-time or part-time. Face-to-face sessions are scheduled during school holidays or Saturdays.

The Master of Education (Religious Education) is a coursework degree that requires the completion of eight courses, including two compulsory courses, one elective and five specialisation courses. Topics include Critical and Creative Thinking in Religious Education, Theories and Models of Leadership for Catholic Schools, and Religious and Spiritual Development of Young People.
