For this interview, candidates will need to bring:

- 1 recent passport picture;
- A double-sided copy of his/her ID card or passport;

ENGLISH LEVEL
The CAD is an institution with an international outlook. As a result, classes are taught in English. This is why students must speak and read English fluently. For those whose mother tongue is not English, the level (as a second language) attained in high school is generally sufficient to start the first-year programme. The programmes are structured so the required level is reached in 2 years, if the student participates in all the courses, follows the English classes and carries out all the requested tests.
At entry, candidates must have an equivalent level of 5 pts in overall band score at the IELTS test (level usually reached at the end of high school). During the selection interview, a motivation questionnaire will be presented in English. An evaluation test will be organised at registration.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Direct entry to the MA Professional PART TIME programme in one of the 4 programmes offered is open to students or working professionals wishing to add a complementary technical skill to their CV.
Admissions are open from January in the year the programme starts. The school year starts in October. There is only one intake per year.
Students or professionals can continue to work in a company or on a freelance basis during this year of study.
These programmes are reserved for people with at least one degree in communication, creation, design or fashion or with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the targeted field or a related field. A candidate’s level of English is not a deciding factor for these programmes.

PRESENTATION
The CAD offers two 2-year POSTGRADUATE programmes in the INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN and the DIGITAL DESIGN & ART DIRECTION sections in partnership with the École de Design de Nantes.
These postgraduate programmes award students a Master’s degree (approved by the French state) from the École de Design de Nantes, as well as the CAD diploma. This study cycle allows students to prepare for their professional integration through internships and management courses, in addition to design courses and a study period abroad.
During this 2nd cycle, students must complete three 3-month internships, at least one of which must be abroad (outside of Belgium and outside of their country of origin).
Students have the possibility of studying for a semester (4 to 4 1/2 months) in one of the 4 studios organised by the École de Design de Nantes and hosted in prestigious universities in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Shanghai (China), Pune (India) or directly in Nantes (France).
In fact, we find that our students do their internships abroad and then move to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Stockholm, Shanghai, Barcelona, New York, Montreal, London, Milan, Sydney… in order to start their professional careers.
During these two years, students will work on more transversal and transcultural themes, in line with the IMW (International Multidisciplinary Workshops) already organised in the 2nd and 3rd years at the CAD.
Finally, students will present their entire course to a final jury of professionals who are authorised to award the CAD and École de Design de Nantes diplomas. The latter diploma has the ‘Grade de Master’ approved by the State.
