The curriculum for the major closely follows the guidelines and standards set by the National Security Agency (NSA) for cybersecurity education.   • Comprehensive and balanced coverage of cybersecurity: It is deeply rooted in computer science and offers core and depth courses in cybersecurity. Students in this program will learn essential knowledge and up-to-date techniques in cybersecurity, including those in the main areas of fundamental security concepts and principles, applied cryptography, program security, and system and network security.
  • Experiential learning: We place a significant emphasis on experiential learning, offering students opportunities to engage in real-world scenarios, simulations, and practical exercises to navigate complex challenges.
  • NSA definitions and outcomes: Our curriculum follows NSA definitions and learning outcomes of knowledge units in cybersecurity, a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity education and training.
  • Flexible pathways: Recognizing the diverse backgrounds and aspirations of our students, we offer flexible pathways within the program. Students can tailor their learning experience by selecting cybersecurity courses with different focuses such as network security and applied cryptography.
