Requierments
A first or second class (2:1 or 2:2) BSc (Hons) degree.
Examples of relevant subjects include at least one of the key topics in generic or specific health business management degrees (inc. Human Resources, Leadership and Strategy, Accounting and Finance, Digital Technologies, Project and/or Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Businesses), an allied health science degree, studies in medicine, nursing, pharmacology, occupational health, osteopathy, physiotherapy, psychology, and chiropractic.
Other, relevant, degrees in social, political, economic, life or environmental sciences may also be considered.
Please note to be accepted onto this course; you will also need to demonstrate that you meet the minimum standards of English. Applicants are required to achieve the equivalent of an IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 or above with no less than 5.5 in each section.

The global healthcare management sector is a vast and complex market. It has been identified as among the most important and fastest growing industries worldwide. Research argues that responsible leadership and management capabilities are increasingly important to enhancing the development and management of healthcare, healthcare systems and ultimately enhancing improved patient outcomes.
This course aims to help you develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to meaningfully engage with and respond to the impacts of climate change, an ageing society and advances in technology in the promotion of economic, social and environmental sustainability within the global healthcare sector.
What you will learn
The MSc Global Healthcare Management has been designed for administrators, managerial staff and clinical professionals working in generic business environments and in private and national healthcare systems and settings.
The course is suitable for undergraduates in business, allied health professions, social and health sciences who are interested in progressing their management and leadership careers in healthcare settings that are primarily set in an international context.
The course covers the following:
- An understanding of the changing nature of business within global healthcare sector, the wider business and external environments in which they operate including in relation to sustainability, and of their impact on society;
- Responsible leadership and management within the healthcare sector. This includes skills in relation to people management, problem solving and critical analysis, enhancing commercial acumen, developing research skills, innovation, abilities to manage complexity and change, to build responsible and ethical working cultures, professional networking, effective communication skills and abilities for self-reflection;
- Critical thinking skills and ability to synthesise and apply relevant theory to practice;
- Ability to analyse, interpret and resolve complex business issues relevant to the healthcare sector;
- Recognition for the importance of collaboration, and the skills necessary to build effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders;
- Ability to self-evaluate professional practice through critical reflection and constructive feedback and identify learning and development needs for future practice;
- Ability to appreciate how international dynamics, the differences and similarities in global health care systems, impact on strategic decision-making and management within healthcare settings.
