Entry Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
- Two H5 grades and four O6/H7 grades in the Irish Leaving Certificate.
Or
Overseas equivalent qualifications:
- Must align with a level-8 Business award in the QQI standard. IBAT College Dublin uses the NARIC system for qualification comparison
Mature Applicants:
- Must be at least 23 years old by 1st January of the year of admission
- No standard academic entry required, but applicants must provide evidence of prior learning, work experience, motivation, and commitment (CV, personal statement, work references, and any relevant training courses)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
- Applicants with relevant prior learning may enter directly into Stage 2 or the Award Stage.
English Language Requirements
- Native English speakers: No further proof required
- Non-native speakers: IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or equivalent
- Alternative: Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105 (equivalent to IELTS 6.0)
- Other Qualifications: If you completed your final education in English, consult with the Admissions Team for validation awards.
Proof of Finance Requirement:
You’ll need to show you can cover €10,000 per year to cover living costs in Ireland, in addition to your course fees.

Visa Information and Medical Insurance
- Depending on your nationality, you may be required to apply for a visa to study in Ireland.
- It is the enrolling student’s responsibility to inform us when they have submitted their visa application. A visa reference number and date of submission is required.
- If your visa application is refused, a refund (minus a €250 administration fee and €130 medical insurance, if MI has been purchased through the college) will be returned to you. Please note that we reserve the right not to refund fees where false, fraudulent, or fake documents have been submitted as part of a visa application.
- If your visa application is successful, you must send confirmation to us directly with a copy of the stamp on your passport.
- Please allow sufficient time to process the visa application, as it can take anywhere from 4 to 16 weeks. you will also need to notify us when you hope to travel before the start of the course so that we can provide you with additional details, such as accommodation, timetables, registration, induction schedules, and possible part-time job opportunities available (if required).

Programme Overview
The BA (Honours) in Business is designed for school leavers and mature students aiming for a career in business. It provides a broad understanding of key business disciplines, including management, marketing, finance, HR, economics, ICT, and entrepreneurship. The programme prepares students for a successful career in diverse, global business environments, focusing on industry-relevant skills and competencies..
Through practical assessments and industry feedback, students gain confidence, teamwork and communication skills. You can choose between a Business Project or Professional Practice Project to specialise in a particular area of interest.
Upon completion, graduates will:
