Additional information

Our BSc Business Computing degree will equip you with a broad knowledge of computing and the use of data analytics in a business environment. You will develop strong programming and software engineering skills, as well as a critical understanding of the current social and organisational issues surrounding the deployment of information technology.

In the areas of computing and data analytics, and also in business, today's skills are often transitory. Therefore, this course aims to strike a balance between you learning current techniques, which are important in the market place, at the same time as learning the underlying fundamentals and theories, which will be longer-lasting and which will provide you with a sound basis for understanding and evaluating new approaches, techniques and technologies.

If you opt for the Foundation Year route, this will fully prepare you for undergraduate study. It is ideal if you are returning to study after a gap, or if you have not previously studied the relevant subjects, or if you didn't achieve the grades you need for a place on your chosen undergraduate degree.
