Requirements

Academic requirements

  • Minimum 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university in any subject
  • Bachelor Degree (4 Years)
  • GPA of around 2.75/4.0  for courses requiring a UK 2:2 equivalent 
  • CGPA 3.2/4 or 4.0/5 for courses requiring a 2:1 equivalent

English language requirements

  • IELTS 6.5 (or above) with no single element below 5.5 or equivalent.

Applicants with non-standard prior learning and or relevant work experience and training are encouraged to apply. A CV (curriculum vitae) made up of prior work experience and training would need to be submitted for consideration by our faculty alongside the standard application.

What will I study?

The MSc Global Logistics Operations and Supply Chain Management programme provides an intensive logistics, operations and supply chain management education for students entering at Level 7 from an undergraduate degree of any discipline including business and management.

The curriculum is informed by the latest research and aligned to the practical and employability skills required for a successful career across a wide range of sectors and businesses and its applications are relevant to careers in both the manufacturing and service sectors.

An experiential, or ‘real-world’, approach to learning will ensure you are exposed to current professional practice, and the modules will equip you with the skills to contribute effectively to global businesses. Given the continuous change in the logistics, operations and supply chain management field, you will be encouraged to innovate and apply emerging models, theories, technologies and ideas to solve business problems specific to this suite of related disciplines. The specialist GLOSCM modules cover strategic procurement, sustainable supply chains, improving the supply chain, and strategic partnerships. The course culminates with a master’s dissertation.

This programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

How will I be taught and assessed?

  • Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars and workshops totalling between 11-13 hours per week
  • You’re expected to engage in independent study, around 34 hours per week
  • Assessment is based on exams and coursework, including presentations.
  • Taught by experienced lecturers and academics who use their industry experience to demonstrate how theories translate into real-life situations.
  • Technology-enhanced learning is embedded throughout the course to guide your preparation for seminars and independent research
