Requirements

If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests. We also accept other English language tests.

Additional information

The LLB Law and Commercial Law will give you the skills necessary to tackle the complex world of business and financial law, including commercial awareness, knowledge of banking law, and knowledge of broader economic and private law issues. 

This law and commercial law degree is ideal if you are keen to learn to navigate the issues you will encounter embarking on a career in corporate law or law in the private sector. Commercial law skills are also highly transferable to legal work for careers in government, the public sector and most other industry contexts.

During your studies on this degree, you will learn the areas of legal knowledge relevant for going on to pursue a career in legal practice as well as taking an introductory course on commercial law. You will then be able to choose from specialist areas of commercial law and related fields where you will be taught by field-leading scholars in areas such as:

intellectual property law
banking law
white-collar crime.
