: Undergraduate : BSc : Full time : 36 Month

Requirements

170 – 136 UCAS tariff points, ABB – AAB at A levels, DDM – DDD at BTEC, or a Merit in your T-Level. English Language or Literature and Maths Grade 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) are normally required.

Speciality

This course offers short-term internships and year-long placement options – an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the field, network with employers and obtain academic credit towards your degree.

Recent students have been placed with zoos, conservation groups and wildlife rangers. Others have gained valuable teaching experience in schools and participated in research into hedgehog conservation, microbiology of dormice nest-boxes, and seabird surveys using thermal imaging.

Graduates from this course can progress into careers as zoologists, ecologists, wildlife journalists, conservation biologists, wildlife managers, researcher/teachers and ecological consultants.
